Basics
- All swimmers must be able to swim, unassisted, one full length of the pool (25 yards).
- Swimmers are generally at least 6 years old, although parents of very independent 5-year-olds are encouraged to talk to the coaches about trying if their child is keen to try, and already a strong swimmer.
- The upper age limit for swimmers to compete in league and VSA meets is 19. Swimmers must not have graduated high school any later than the same calendar year.
- You will need to be a member of the Waterbury Pool for the summer.
- All practices, and most meets, are held at the Waterbury Pool.
- Practices are at held Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and (optional) Friday, 5-6.30pm.
- Meets are usually Thursday evenings, starting around 4.45pm. More information about how our meets work can be found in our Meet Basics.
- We follow the Waterbury Pool's thunder and inclement weather policy.
- Please see our list of recommended equipment.
We are a parent-run team -- please be familiar with the participation commitment we expect from each family.
